Happy 4 Years Anniversary To "Us!"

Had a wonderful time celebrating our 4-Year Wedding Anniversary this past weekend at Tybee Island, GA!! It is super beautiful over there!! The beach was nice, and it was packed all weekend long--guess that's always going to be like that wherever Bobby and I will go since our wedding anniversary always falls around Memorial Day weekend :) We have been traveling a lot since the beginning of this year--the Philippines, Mexico, and Miami in just a span of 4 months--so we wanted something low key for our wedding anniversary :) I didn't want it to be too close to home like Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island or even St. Augustine, but we both wanted to go to a beach :) We thought of Destin, but I suggested Tybee Island to Bobby after seeing Miley Cyrus/Nicholas Sparks' movie, "The Last Song." The island is SO pretty in that movie, so I wanted to check it out---and I'm totally not disappointed at all! It's amazing there, and I'm so glad that we had a small break from our busy lives to just enjoy the sun and spend some quality time together :) Here's to many more adventures with my love, my best friend and my travel companion!

PS-here are some fun facts about Tybee Island :)

- Tybee comes from the Native American word for “salt."

- There are 178 steps to the top of the Tybee Lighthouse, Georgia’s oldest and tallest lighthouse (and Bobby and I made it to the top!) :)

- Tybee only has three stoplights on the island.

Linda & Jonatan's Fun Session - Jacksonville FL Wedding Lifestyle Photographer

I've been super anxious to post this gorgeous couple's FUN session in my blog! Linda and Jonatan are celebrating their 5-Years Anniversary in August, and they are currently on a road trip for a month all over America... so who knows when they will get to view this blog post ;) I love everything about this session, and yes, even the fact that this was done exactly at mid-day, which most photographers will tell you that it's not the best time to photo-shoot a session. It was SO hot.. there was no breeze on the beach, the sand was burning the soles of our feet, and there weren't any clouds on sight to help alleviate us from "roasting." ;)

You may remember Linda and Jonatan from a mini-session I did with them when Bobby and I were in Gothenburg, Sweden for Erika and David's wedding :) Now thinking about it, it was freezing on that day in Gothenburg. Even with gloves and jacket on, it was still pretty cold for Linda and Jonatan... yet they managed to have fun! I gotta give props to this lovely couple!! They are both amazing, funny and so easy-going :) Nothing (and not even the crazy weathers) can dampen their days nor prevent them from still looking so fabulous on photos :) It's what I call, "real love," that truly shines amongst them, and I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!

We were originally going to start early that morning, but sadly, the beach was at high tide then, and of course, we won't be able to see the beautiful drift woods and trees on the shore. On a happier note, Linda was able to get her makeup done by Paulina Perez, and she looked simply stunning! Yay :)

Linda and Jonatan...wherever you guys are today, enjoy your month-long RV trip! Take lots of pictures of your adventures, and here's living vicariously through your travels :) Be safe and see ya'll again in August!!

Linda & Jonatan's Fun Session Sneak Peeks - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

Anniversary Date Night :)

For our 1st Year Anniversary, we had dinner with Shamu reservations at Sea World. Sadly, we both got sick earlier that day, and we never made it down to Orlando. Yeah, it was a crappy way to spend our 1 Year Anniversary. At least we got to eat a little bit of our wedding cake that we saved in our freezer (which btw, we still have some left to this day!) ;) Our 2nd Year Anniversary was the best! We were both in Asheville, NC that weekend, and spent some time in Gatlinburg, TN for some sightseeing and touristy stuff. Then right on our anniversary date, we spent the day at the Biltmore Estates. We did the mansion tour, ate ice cream on the big lawn, and had wine tasting :)

With our busy weekend schedules this year, we decided to just stay in the best place in the world, our home :) Started the day with shopping at Lowes for a brand new front door. Then we did some yard work in the morning, changed brake pads for my car, stopped by at Sephora to pick up my gift (yay for perfume!), went to see the movie Prince of Persia, and ate at one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville :) The ambiance and the stafff at Capital Grille is simply amazing, and not to mention the food was simply delish :) Highly recommend that place to anyone that's about to celebrate something wonderful like anniversaries, graduations, and birthdays :)

I can't wait for our 5th Year Anniversary and go back to Las Vegas!! Here's hoping Celine Dion will still be there performing :)

Hug your loved ones today and tell them how much you love them :) Life is too short to be angry and not forgive! :)

Mr. & Mrs. Perez's Anniversary Session - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

This was the last session I did a couple of weeks ago for local make-up artist Paulina Perez Sylvestre's fundraiser for her South Africa missionary trip. I knew I had three sessions to do, but I didn't know anyone beforehand. Paulina had scheduled her parent's Anniversary session with me, and it was such a pleasure to photo-shoot this wonderful couple :) They're SO nice, and I want Bobby and I to salsa dance on the beach under the moon and stars with the waves crashing on our feet too! Paulina told me that her mom really had a great time and felt like she was in a romance movie. I'm glad that Mrs. Perez felt that way because I felt like that too when watching how much in love she and Mr. Perez are with each other :)

Paulina, it had been fun working with you, and I hope you meet your fundraising goal for your missionary trip to help out an orphanage in South Africa!
