Welcome!

New Moon 11.20.09

Friday, November 20, 2009

I have been counting down for this day since last year!! Yes, I am one of those Twilight geeks that bought the Team Edward t-shirt and went to the movie theater 4 hours before the midnight showing just so I can chat with other Twilighters and get a good seat for the movie :)

Haha, you can say that I have a lil' obsession on the fictional character Edward Cullen. Thank goodness my husband thinks this is funny and supports my Twilight disorder ;-) Let me know if you've gone to see it and how you like it? Aside from the cheesy wolf-pack scenes, it was really good!!

I'm not the only Twilight Addict out there, and so comforting to know that there are a lot of us! Check out this link that best summarizes on why so many women are "in love" of the fictional character, Edward Cullen! http://www.tonic.com/article/new-moon-robert-pattinson-taylor-lautner-and-a-lot-of-screaming-sometimes-crazy-women

Aynway, I went with friends earlier this morning for the midnight showing, and here's a picture that Aaron took of me in my Team Edward t-shirt :)

My friends are probably going to kill me for this picture collage, but luckily, I don't think they read my blog..haha!!

Lastly, who wouldn't want to swoon in this "almost-kiss" picture of Bella and Edward?

Charmaine & Ernest's Holiday Portrait Session - Jacksonville, FL Family Photographer

Ya'll may remember Charmaine and Ernest from their wonderful maternity session earlier this year. The Lord was so good on blessing us with an amazing fog that morning. He did it again on their family session last week with an amazing sunlight!

Their baby boy is so precious, and I can't get enough of him even though he's named after a Red Sox baseball player--okay, not really, but he shares the same name as their pitcher ;-)

Charmaine and Ernest, thank you for having me capture another fun moments with you guys and this time with Baby B! :)

Baby B was wiped out after our portrait session--so super adorable!!

The Lying Down Game

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Pointless and seems kind of dumb, but I love it! I never heard of this trendy game before until last week at Jules Bianchi's Pictage Partner Conference photo-shooting workshop in New Orleans (which I will blog more about later!) :) It all started out when the awesome Kevin Kubota tagged along to our group shoot, and then he laid down on the train tracks. He caught me by surprise, but some of us including myself went along with it and did the same thing :)

Apparently, this is a world-wide craze! The website is not as updated, but there a lot of funny photos in its official Facebook page. Check 'em out and hey, go out there and have fun! Then tell me all about it and share your pictures. If you already have your own, please share and let me know where I can view it :)

Enjoy!

Here's Kevin starting the lying down game!

Handed my camera to Erin Saldana to take this shot :) Thanks, girl!

I'm actually in this picture, and I'm the one in the white at the very end (starting from the bottom of the picture)!

Handed my camera to Kevin to take this group shot and gotta love Jules Bianchi for lying down :)

Charmaine & Ernest's Family Session Sneak Peeks - Jacksonville Family Photographer

Lily & Ralph's Trash the Dress Session - Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

A couple like Lily & Ralph makes my job so rewarding! They're seriously so sweet and lovely together...and haha, they also remind me so much of how Bobby and I are with each other :) Bobby joined me in this session mainly to be my "bag boy" unlike at Lily & Ralph's engagement session in South Beach, Miami last year where he helped me photo-shoot that one.

Their wedding day in May happened to be the same day as our 2-Year Anniversary weekend, so therefore, we couldn't join in the fun with them in Miami. I'm still stoked that I got to photo-shoot their engagement session and now their trash the dress session!

As many of you know, I love having my clients start at the crack of dawn for their session, and that's exactly what we did for Lily & Ralph's session. Sadly, it was at high tide early in the morning and they also got into a minor car accident in between changing locations. It was scary, but Bobby and I are soooo glad that they're okay!! I have to give them props for wanting to finish the session even after the craziness and during mid-day lighting :)

Lily & Ralph, we love you guys more than you know it! Thanks for including us in all the fun & crazy moments in your lives :)

xoxo

After the session, we made sure to document the big dent on their car from the accident, and then we enjoyed Happy Hour @ a local restaurant :)
