Fun Outing with Kellie - Paramount Ranch California Family Photographer

While Kellie and I waited for her husband, Randy, to come home from work, we got to check out Chik-fil-A in Thousand Oaks area (that is a big thing for me since I was looking for sweet tea!) and also visit Paramount Ranch in Santa Monica Mountains.  We have a cute baby with us, so why not take photos of him while we were there right? :)  I only took a few from my camera since I mainly used my iPhone ;) It is a bad habit of mine!  Anyway, this place is gorgeous and reminds me of a ghost town (but that is what makes this place mysterious and beautiful), and I wish Randy was able to join us for the impromptu mini-shoot.

Enjoy!
xoxo

Laura and Doug are Getting Married! - Jacksonville FL Engagement Photographer

Bobby and I are beyond excited for our (wedding vendor) friends, Laura and Doug with Take One Productions! For the first time ever in a couple of years now, we are going to be at a wedding as GUESTS!!! We are beyond stoked to go to a wedding and just have a good time and celebrate/party with our friends. No work involved but just enjoying a cocktail or two and dancing the night away :)

I just checked their wedding website, and it makes my heart full to find the engagement photos I took for them on the site. We cannot wait to celebrate this couple's love for each other! It had also been fun shopping for a dress and shoes for their wedding! Yay that I don't have to wear my standard black pants and black top at a wedding for once :)

Here's the link to Laura and Doug's engagement session from last Fall!

Impromptu Phoot-Shoot with Meggie in the Philippines

Meet my beautiful childhood friend, Meggie :) Our parents are good friends with each other, and I remember always playing at her house when we were little. We kept in touch for a little bit when I moved to America at 10 years old. I remember her visiting New York City when I used to live up there, and that was really the last time since I've seen nor heard from her.

My brother Jazon visited the Philippines a few years ago, and he rekindled his friendships with our childhood friends. He found Meggie on Facebook, and of course, I had to befriend Meggie too! We kept in touch through there, and I'm so glad we got to see each other for coffee back in January of this year when Bobby and I were visiting Manila. I'm so happy that I got to see her again twice in one year. The second time was when I went back to the Philippines in September for almost a month :) Meggie's mom's garden is beautiful, and I always thought to myself how fun it would be to photograph there. Thankfully, Meggie is a great sport and was up for a last-minute mini-session! We started our session with her "rockstar" outfit, and we both agreed that a dress would probably be better for the garden pictures ;) Thanks to her mom, Tita May, for being our awesome stylist and dressing up and accessorizing Meggie for the impromptu photo-shoot :)

Enjoy!
XOXO

**Updated 10/30/11-I found these old pictures of Meggie and I when she visited New York City back in 1996 :) I also just realized that these pictures were taken on my 15th birthday! Great times :)

I used to live a block away from Hard Rock Cafe in NYC!

I remember this time very well when my mom was trying to take a picture of us by the Lincoln Center fountain. People just kept walking in front of her, and Meggie pretended to kick them out of the way ;)

At Columbus Circle and this was when we parted ways.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone!! I pray that you are spending this joyous time with your loved ones!! Bobby and I just finished unwrapping gifts with our fur-babies, and I'm truly thankful for everything--for this wonderful year, our family (near and far), our dear friends, our wedding and family clients, our church, and for good health... I'm really feeling blessed, and that thought just kindles my heart :) I hope you are staying warm with a nice hot chocolate and have a wonderful Christmas weekend!

Also, CONGRATULATIONS and happy engagement to many of you on this Christmas Day!!

08.08.08 Wedding

The number 8 is considered a lucky # and is highly significant in the Chinese culture like ours with the #7. Lots of things were happening on that night...the Olympics in Beijing officially started with its incredible ceremony (I saw YouTube clips the next day), at least 15-thousand couples got married in the Olympic city, and Kellie and Randy tied the knot in St. Augustine!!

It was the most lavish wedding I've ever been to..long cathedral train..violinist..trolleys transporting guests back and forth..four wedding day coordinators** running around..extravagant hotel reception..chargers (which I've never heard of before until that night!)..live band..horse carriage..sparklers..1920's style cars..wow--next to my wedding in Las Vegas with Elvis, Kellie & Randy's wedding is definitely the most "unforgettable" wedding!

Haha--kind of wished I were the photographer! Kellie had asked me when she first got engaged if I would like to be a bridesmaid or the photographer--hmmn, that's a no-brainer decision right there! Of course, a bridesmaid!! Photographing a friend's wedding is an honor, but I'm never in the pictures and I'm usually wearing all-black and looking blah..and this is one wedding where I want to be in the pictures and just have a jolly good ol' time! Though there were many times that I was itching for my camera, and my poor husband kept getting "dictated" to take pictures. ;-)

I am so happy that I at least got to do their engagement session at Disney World and Epcot, and now I can't wait to fly next month to Los Angeles for their second wedding reception and take pictures :) Keep an eye out for Kellie's trash the dress session in the Fall! Having four (yes, four!) wedding dresses, one of them is definitely getting trashed! ;-)

**Edit**just an FYI, Kellie & Randy planned everything from the smallest details to the biggest ones for their wedding. The four wedding coordinators are merely there to assist w/ scheduling times and to make sure everything flows smoothly on their wedding day**

Just a Heads Up

Hi guys,

Just a heads up that I won't have Internet connection for a week. Bummer. I will respond to all of my emails as soon as I can, and I'll maybe even get to share pictures of the "real Shamu" then. Maybe. For now, I will leave you with some fun pictures I took at Sea World last month. Aaron & Jen, I know that you two have been patiently waiting for these pictures. I might even do a slideshow in the future--who knows ;-)

God bless you all and have a positive energy day everyday!

xoxo
Corinna
