08.08.08 Wedding

The number 8 is considered a lucky # and is highly significant in the Chinese culture like ours with the #7. Lots of things were happening on that night...the Olympics in Beijing officially started with its incredible ceremony (I saw YouTube clips the next day), at least 15-thousand couples got married in the Olympic city, and Kellie and Randy tied the knot in St. Augustine!!

It was the most lavish wedding I've ever been to..long cathedral train..violinist..trolleys transporting guests back and forth..four wedding day coordinators** running around..extravagant hotel reception..chargers (which I've never heard of before until that night!)..live band..horse carriage..sparklers..1920's style cars..wow--next to my wedding in Las Vegas with Elvis, Kellie & Randy's wedding is definitely the most "unforgettable" wedding!

Haha--kind of wished I were the photographer! Kellie had asked me when she first got engaged if I would like to be a bridesmaid or the photographer--hmmn, that's a no-brainer decision right there! Of course, a bridesmaid!! Photographing a friend's wedding is an honor, but I'm never in the pictures and I'm usually wearing all-black and looking blah..and this is one wedding where I want to be in the pictures and just have a jolly good ol' time! Though there were many times that I was itching for my camera, and my poor husband kept getting "dictated" to take pictures. ;-)

I am so happy that I at least got to do their engagement session at Disney World and Epcot, and now I can't wait to fly next month to Los Angeles for their second wedding reception and take pictures :) Keep an eye out for Kellie's trash the dress session in the Fall! Having four (yes, four!) wedding dresses, one of them is definitely getting trashed! ;-)

**Edit**just an FYI, Kellie & Randy planned everything from the smallest details to the biggest ones for their wedding. The four wedding coordinators are merely there to assist w/ scheduling times and to make sure everything flows smoothly on their wedding day**

You lucky girl! She picked out beautiful bridesmaids dresses! Looks like an amazing wedding. I love the one of them exiting the church and the "rice" (or whatever it was) being tossed. You don't seem to see that much anymore.

Four dresses is insane, but with so many fabulous dresses out there who can choose just one? People thought it was odd that I had two, but I still feel compelled to buy more dresses AFTER the wedding. Kudos to her for being a diva bride! I love it!

Anna--your wedding is also "unforgettable!" :)

Gwen--gotta love the teal color.. GO JAGS! LOL
And yeah.. 4 dresses.. one for the St. Augustine wedding, the 2nd one for trashing, third one is for her 2nd wedding reception in LA, and fourth, a Chinese wedding gown that she will also wear at her 2nd reception :) Fun, fun :)

Lyndsay--thanks!! I love your hair too ::wink-wink::

Yay! I'm so excited to finally get to see the pictures from Kellie's wedding! I so wish I could have been there! You all looked beautiful. And I absolutely *love* the picture of her sitting in the chair. Kellie looks stunning. =D As always, even when you're not the official photographer, you take amazing shots!! =D

Now that the craziness of planning is over, I had to make it a point and leave a comment. Cory, the pictures are amazing. Some of them are just timeless. We love them!!! Thanks for capturing our day and our memories for us to cherish always!
