Mike and Ruby's Family Photo Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

Love this family very much and their sweet little angel! I had so much fun taking family pictures for our past bride and groom, Mike and Ruby.  It seems like it was just yesterday when we photographed their fun wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo!

We started our session at the Treaty Oak Park, but it was so crowded there so we left for The Friendship Fountain. That place is much more meaningful to Ruby and Mike since that is where we photographed their engagement session way back in 2008!  We had a great time, and both Ruby and I got teary-eyed when their little girl wore Ruby's wedding dress for last part of our session.  Oh my, it was such a tender moment, and I couldn't help but get all emotional.  Ruby and I started laughing after we saw each other with red-teary eyes.

I am grateful to Ruby and Mike, and I am so happy that I got to photograph them once again! It was hard picking out my favorite photos to blog, so I posted about 25 photos :)

Bridal Gowns with Hawaiian Flair!

I came across to this wonderful designer's website (Anne Namba), and I'm in love with her bridal gowns! I love how the dresses are not just plain white nor ivory :) The fun colors just make the dress so fun and beautiful :) I absolutely love my own wedding dress from David's Bridal but wish I have known about Anne Namba back in 2007! **Quick Update** It's really neat how Anne Namba herself found out that I mentioned her designs and website in my blog. She sent me a sweet email yesterday and also advised this:
"I'm updating soon and also pushing a green wedding theme for those who are eco-friendly. I'm organizing a package including venue and all that goes with a green wedding including my dresses which are all made from recycled Japanese wedding kimonos and obis made from silk."

Beautiful Hana Trashing Her Dress Country-style!

God is so awesome to bless us with good weather and lighting two weeks ago at the Conner's A-Maize-ing Acres. He just knows how to plan things well! I originally was going to have a trash-the-dress session with one of my brides back in June, Brandy...but something came up that she had to cancel a couple of days before the shoot. Wonderful Hana who goes to Celebration Church with us and actually the group leader for our "Marriage on the Rock" class agreed to trash for me at the last minute...and we all had a wonderful time that Saturday!

I had tons of fun doing my photoshoot on Mrs. Hana Hunter as she trashes her wedding dress country-style. Thank you, Hana--you are a beautiful bride of God! I also want to give a special shout-out of thanks to the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Conner for welcoming us to their "a-maize-ing" cornfield. They're awesome Christian people and seriously, ya'll should check out the place! Thanks to Brenda Bush for helping me coordinate the photo session. Margie, you know what you did--thank you! Lastly, thank you to my wonderful husband, Bobby, for being my "camera-bag boy." He helped me carry my heavy camera bag and arranged Hana's dress for me. Bobby was such a great trash-the-dress publicist to everyone that asked him what was going on when they saw Hana laying all over the hay and getting her dress dirty.
