Mo and Montia's Trash the Dress Session - Jacksonville University Wedding Photographer

I am not too crazy with the wording "Trash the Dress," and our bride Mo came up with a better term for our session, which is "Post Wedding Shoot!" Now that sounds better, and I am glad they were up for one more photo shoot in their wedding attire before Mo packs up her wedding dress for good.  

You may remember this beautiful couple from their wedding earlier this year.  It was freezing on their wedding day, and it was completely the opposite on the day of our "post-wedding shoot!" We were going for a sunset session since it is beautiful out there at the JU Boathouse, but with the crazy Florida weather, it rained every afternoon on the days we scheduled our photo-shoot. Mo and Montia were getting ready to move to Oklahoma for Montia's new job, so we were running out of time.  We settled for a sunrise shoot since it never rains in the morning, and I am glad we started at the crack of dawn because it got so hot really fast!

This couple is a trooper for braving all of nature's elements every time they had their photos taken. It was super windy and rained a little on the day we had their engagement session done in Jekyll Island, it was freezing on their wedding day, and now it was super hot on their post-wedding shoot. Nonetheless, they rocked all sessions, and I am grateful for Mo and Montia :)  I am so glad we got to do this photo-shoot before they moved. Montia was the Men's Crew head coach at Jacksonville University, and Mo actually rowed for JU Women's Crew before, so it was only fitting that they row together for some of our shots!

I had a great time at this session, and I will miss them very much, especially their adorable Basset Hound, Peyton! Best of luck to all of them on their new adventures in Oklahoma, and I hope I get to pet-sit Peyton again...one day :)  Be sure to check out the slideshow for more photos from our session!

Dionne & Jeff's Trash the Dress Session - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

Gorgeous sunny afternoon for this gorgeous couple's trash-the-wedding-dress photo session! You may remember Dionne and Jeff from their butterfly wedding earlier this summer :) Dionne told me that she always wanted to get married on the beach. Since they had a church wedding, it was a must to have the session at the beach! We started first in the wooded area of the park in Jeff's classic red hot Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible--awesome car, btw!! I forgot what year his car was made, but I'm thinking 1968.

We headed to the beach area towards the end of our shoot, and Dionne just rocked the muddy part of the session! I had a wonderful time photographing this lovely newlyweds, and I cannot thank them enough for having me capture their sweet love story on photos!
