Eryn & Rick are Married!! - St. Augustine FL Wedding Photographer

Eryn and Rick are happily married, and it was such a pleasure for Bobby and I to be there and witness it with our cameras! This sweet couple is from Homosassa area, but they decided to get married in the lovely historic part of St. Augustine, FL. They had such a wonderful and sweet wedding right outside the Castillo de San Marcos (the Big Fort), and their wedding reception took place at one of my favorite venues, which is the Government's House. I'm loving the red-and-black theme that Eryn and Rick had going on at their wedding. Their cake was absolutely unique and beautiful!! The weather was perfectly sunny and clear, and it was just so much fun to see their guests having a good time :) I got to witness both the bride and groom doing a keg stand for the first time ever, and more props to Eryn and Rick for that!!

Bobby and I had a great time getting to know the couple's families and friends, and we couldn't be thankful enough to be a part of this wedding! Congratulations, Eryn and Rick! God bless you both, your beautiful son, and your beautiful family :)

XOXO

THEIR LOVE STORY

How did you guys meet?

He came into the local restaurant that I was working at. I noticed him right away. We got to know each other after his weekly visits to the restaurant. One week, he and his best friend mentioned that they had a fishing boat and were planning on taking it out. I shyly threw in the fact that I liked to fish. I gave him my number in hopes of him asking me to go. However, he never called :( It took two months and many trips to my work before he called me and the rest is history :)

Describe the proposal:

Ever since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of being proposed to during fireworks. June 26, 2009 he got on one knee during the annual Homosassa fireworks and asked me to marry him. Weeks prior to this, though, he went to his grandmother and asked her for one of the five wedding rings that she had in her safe for her grandkids.

What is your favorite thing to do on your date night?

Have fun. Our date nights are never the same and never boring. We take the night as it comes to us. Usually we have no plans but just to spend time together. We go wherever the road takes us.

What do you love about him so much?

I don't think there is enough room in this email for me to fully describe my love for him. Rick came into my son and I's life when we least wanted him or needed him. (However, when I look back now I see how much we truly did need him). He is my best friend, lover, comedian, and partner. His free spirit and love for life helps carry my spirit everyday. I thank him for the influence that he has been to my son and I.

What do you love about her so much?

Her smile. Ahh everything. (He doesn't express his feelings that well.)

What is your wedding invitation like and where did you go to get it done?

We personally made them from a wedding kit that we bought at Michael's store. They are white with pockets that hold the reception card, response card, and invitation in the middle as you open them. A ribbon close the invitation pockets with "Eryn & Richard" on the outside of the ribbon in the middle.

What are your wedding colors and why did you guys choose that color palette?

Red is our primary color with a hint of black and ivory. Red is my favorite color. The black and ivory just fell into place.

Describe your wedding cake:

Check out the photo from our photographer!!

Describe your wedding flowers:

I am fortunate that my mother went to school for flowers. She did the flower bouquets and arrangements for me. They are red and white.

What is your First Dance song, Father/Daughter song, and Mother/Son song at your wedding reception?

First Dance Song: You Are So Beautiful
Father/Daughter: Butterfly Kisses
Mother/Son: Sunrise Sunset

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We took a cruise. Sunday morning after wedding, we left for Miami to catch our boat. We visited Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya, and the Keys. We were gone for a week.

What are you looking forward to in the future together?

My favorite quote that my sister-in-law once told me sums this question up, "Act young together and you will stay young together."
