Emily & Michael are Married!! - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

Congratulations Emily and Michael! It has been a pleasure getting to know this lovely couple since last Fall, and I'm very thankful and blessed that I got to photograph their sweet wedding in Downtown Jacksonville :) When I first met them for a consultation, I can just tell that they share a sweet love together. I think they held hands the whole entire time, and Michael gave Emily random kisses on the side of her head and her hand while we were talking (how romantic, right?!). They completed each other's sentences, and it was like as if there was a magnet between Emily and Michael that made them inseparable from each other :)

I was looking forward to their big day, and special thanks to my good friend Norman for assisting me at their wedding :) I simply adore happy couples and they were very comfortable in front of the camera. It was like watching a romantic movie when I was taking pictures of Emily and Michael. Their bridal party rocked too! I had all of them walked across the street and literally stopped downtown traffic--such troopers! :)

I just can't get enough of this sweet couple, and I wish them many more fun adventures together!

XOXO

Emily's mom is in Heaven, and her sister-in-law had this charm made just for her bouquet. I think it's really sweet that Emily had something special like this in memory of her mom.

Emily and Michael did a great job on incorporating their name initials to their wedding stuff :)

THEIR LOVE STORY

How did you guys meet?

We met at our Tuesday-night Bible study with St. Paul UMC.

Describe the proposal:

Mike took Emily to The Loop (the site of their first date) for dinner and a walk on the beach. After what seemed like 30 MILES (!!!), they stopped to write each other notes in the sand. When Emily turned around, Mike was on one knee with four words beside him: WILL YOU MARRY ME?!?!

What is your favorite thing to do on your date night?

We love being outside, so going on beach walks or hiking are our favorite activities.

What do you love about him so much?

Mike has the kindest eyes! He's truly THE most caring person I've ever met.

What do you love about her so much?

The way she makes me laugh and feel like I'm the only person in the world.

What is your wedding invitation like and where did you go to get it done?

Our invitation is simple and classic. We got them from Hallmark.

What are your wedding colors and why did you guys choose that color palette?

Our colors are green and cream/white. We wanted a simple color scheme (not too flashy) that would coordinate with our church, which has a lot of stained glass and is fairly ornate. We also think green is a fitting color for March!

Describe your wedding cake:

Again, simple but pretty: we'll have around 4 tiers with horizontal stripes of varying shades of green/cream.

Describe your wedding flowers:

LOTS of white/cream gerbera daisies with greenery; guys wore cream rose boutonnieres.

What is your First Dance song, Father/Daughter song, and Mother/Son song at your wedding reception?

First Dance: La Vie en Rose by Edith Piaf
Father/Daughter Dance: Real Love by The Beatles
Mother/Son Dance: More Today Than Yesterday by Spiral Staircase

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Yosemite

What are you looking forward to in the future together?

Traveling, making a home, and growing in our relationship with one another and with the Lord.
