Mandy & Sean are Married! - Jacksonville Beach FL Wedding Photographer

Mandy and Sean's destination wedding was SO.MUCH.FUN!!

Okay, so Bobby and I didn't fly out for the wedding, but to this lovely couple, Jacksonville Beach is the place to be for their destination wedding since they are both from Chicago and currently residing close to Orlando area. They had about 35 or so guests total, and we felt right at home with everyone. Their family and friends were so nice and FUN! Sean and his groomsmen rented out scooters, and I'm so happy that we got to incorporate those in the pictures! Bobby and I were loving every minute of their wedding :) We also got to work again with several vendors we love, so that is always a plus at any weddings we photo-shoot :) I'm also loving the damask-themed and the black and hot pink colors that they chose for their reception. The set up inside the venue was simply stunning!

Mandy and Sean, thank you both SO much for having us as your wedding photographers! We're grateful that we got the chance to meet you guys and get to know ya'll. We wish you both the best and wonderful new adventures together! Congratulations!!

XOXO

Mandy & Sean's LOVE STORY:
(PS-I love it when the groom answers some of the questions as well!)

How did you guys meet?

We met at a restaurant on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. The one who set us up was one of my brother’s best friends and he also worked with Sean. The one who set us up is obviously in the wedding as one of the groomsmen :) The most awkward part of the night was when we came walking into the restuaruant and Sean stopped to talk to an older couple and girl about our age. After a few short words, he turns and says, “This is my parents and sister.” That was it, said “Hi” and went to our table. Oops :) From that day, we knew we were going to be together, and we really hit it off.

Describe the proposal:

I proposed on Valentine’s day at her apartment in Jacksonville. I had her fooled, she had no idea that I was coming from Chicago (where I was living) to surprise her. It was very difficult hiding it all day long. I arrived in Jacksonville and her parents happened to be vacationing there at the same time so they helped me get into her apartment while she was hanging out at her brother’s house. I snuck into her apartment and set the place up with a tons of candles, some rose petals and some flowers on the table. I also had some of our favorite music playing in the background. I had her fooled! She thought I was just there to surprise her on Valentine’s Day and meanwhile, I had the engagement ring hidden under the couch. She came home and was completely surprised that I was there. She sat down and we talked a little then she was telling me how surprised she was and that’s when I pulled out the ring from under the couch and proposed to her. That is the short story, there was a lot of stress on my part trying to get everything organized and I was extremely nervous but everything turned out perfect.

What's the most romantic date you two ever had?

There are too many to pick just one. But, one night I surprised her, and I planned a nice dinner at Seasons 52 in Orlando. We went to a comedy club after dinner for her birthday, and we got some Starbucks coffee after dinner because it’s her favorite.

What are your wedding colors and why did you guys choose that color palette?

We have a dark pink for the bridesmaids dresses and accent colors for the reception. The guys have grey suits. We thought that they both looked really nice and elegant together. Plus what girl doesn’t love pink?

Describe your wedding cake:

Our cake was plain and simple. It was three round layers with some polka-dots. It had flowers that resemble the flowers in the center pieces and bouquets. I had planned on shoving it in her face anyway so it doesn’t really matter what it looked like! (And Sean really did!)

Describe your wedding flowers:

Mostly curly willow with some orchids. They had a very modern simple look.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Went to Cozumel in Mexico.

What's your future forecast?

A very peaceful and humble lifestyle where we can pursue our dreams together, raise our children, and make each other happy.

These photos are so beautiful! I am so impressed. I love the photos of the bride and groom on the motorcycle. Do you know which florist they hired? The flowers look a lot like the work of an Oklahoma City florist that I know.
