Back to the wedding world...I have to admit that I didn't want Bobby and I to see each other before the ceremony just to stick with traditional customs. Now married for almost two years and photographing beautiful weddings since my own wedding, I am completely open to the idea of meeting before the ceremony. One, I think it's a special intimate moment that is shared between you two alone and no one else (well, besides us the photographers), and two, you can get more daylight pictures out of it especially if you are having a late evening wedding.
Below is a link where you can read more about pre-meeting. Be sure to click on the links under "seeing each other before the wedding ceremony: series."

I value all of my brides' wishes whether they want to have the pre-meeting or not, and remember, this is YOUR wedding, so do what you want to do :)
Ruby & Mike decided to meet before the wedding ceremony for more of an intimate moment between them two, and so that they had more time to spend with their guests after the ceremony, which started at 7 PM. Below are the sweet shots Bobby and I captured when they saw each other for the first time at the new Asian-inspired botanical garden at Jacksonville Zoo.

**(Please tell me if you met your hubby/wife before the ceremony and if so, where did you guys meet and how? I love romantic stories!)**

You are such a brat! You beat me to it. Our couple next month is meeting before the ceremony on the bridge! Beautiful images! I also love the ones you previously posted of their wedding. I can't wait to show you my perspective!
In response to your question, Matt and I did see each other before the wedding and I would not go back and have it any other way! I try to tell couples how much more personal it is to see each other before the ceremony, but few couples want to do it. I respect that people want to stick to tradition, but seeing each other for the first time is still exciting and emotional when you meet before the ceremony. In my opinion, it's even MORE personal! When Matt and I first saw each other, we were alone (other than our photographers). We actually spent a couple hours taking photos and just enjoying being alone together before our busy day began. Once the ceremony begins you really don't get any quiet time together until the reception is over. By then you are too exhausted to enjoy each other's company!
Those are my two cents. Our couple this weekend is meeting before and I am so excited for them! That alone time is so precious and more personal than seeing each other first at the ceremony. You aren't worrying about whether you are going to trip, cry in front of all your guests, forget your vows, etc. It's just about you and the person you are marrying. Okay... more of an answer than you probably wanted! Did I mention I really love it when couples see each other before the ceremony? LOL!
I haven't had a couple yet that is willing to break tradition before the ceremony but I am hoping I will get one soon. I love the intimate moment of when he sees her for the first time. Love your images!!
You are awesome girl! Everything is just so beautiful :)
i LOVE these pictures... they are soo intimate and personal... and soo MEANINGFUL! im loving the idea...especially since we'll have over 500 guests at our wedding, so i KNOW there wont be an opportunity for the two of us to spend some QT time together on one of the most important days ever...considering you spend a majority of your wedding day apart before you become one...how ironic is that... corinna, you may have a second couple to shoot soon... *wink*
You rocked it out!! I love them, love all the color:)
By the way, my last two weddings this month have made the decision to see each other before hand....Awesome!! They have really enjoyed having that moment together. :)
Oh, and also I really like how you changed your logo on your photos. This is much more elegant than the big frame around the pics. I'm surprised you haven't changed it to green and yellow to match your blog...
Thank you for the link love, that series about "seeing each other before the ceremony" has been a huge success. Whether you choose to do that or not, it's great to be informed.
