Deerwood Toastmaster Sweeped Area 60 Contest!

Deerwood Toastmasters did very well at the Area 60 contest last night against other fine clubs such as the Beaches Area TM, Osprey TM, and Ponte Vedra Beach TM.  Our member, Wayne Blackburn, won 1st place for the International Speech category, and I was amazed I won 1st place for the Table Topics category.  The International Speech is more of a prepared speech, and it is between 5-7 minutes long.  Table Topics is an impromptu speech that is between 1-2 minutes long.  This is my kind of speech--just off the cuff :)

We move on to the Division contest level on Friday, April 17th, at UNF. Wish us good luck! :)
