Strobist Practice Shooting

I'm definitely a natural daylight photographer, but I also like to step out of my comfort zone and play with my pocket wizards.  I still have tons of things to learn with flash and lighting, and I got the chance to hang out with Laurie and her friend, Shawn, for some strobist action :)  I'm amazed with how lighting/flash can really dramatize a picture.  I can't wait for my next practice session, and I may need some models for that soon!

Enjoy!

Oh good use of the lights Cory. I love night shooting and seeing what I can do with my lights. And I love his car.... I have a white one wrx, not as good looking as his though.

Lighting is an art all unto itself! I look forward to seeing you experiment more with your pocket wizards. I really need to get some!

My favorite shot is the 6th from the bottom.

These are awesome!
OK so did you use Bees or your speed light?
I am a natural light shooter so shooting at night is so foreign to me!
