Jason and Alison's Family Session - Jacksonville FL Family and Children Photographer

Two things for sure: Epping-Forest Yacht & County Club is a beautiful venue in Jacksonville for family photo-shoots, and Florida weather is crazy! Who would have thought that it would be colder in October, when we originally planned this session, than it was in December when we rescheduled it?  Alison was not able to use these photos for their Christmas cards, but I am glad they didn't have their photos taken back in October when we had the Nor'Easter winds! God is good for giving us a beautiful afternoon for their photo-shoot in December. :)


Although I can hardly believe it, Jason and Alison have been my clients for almost six wonderful years now.  We first worked together when I did their oldest son’s photos in summer of 2012, and it’s been so cool to see their dapper little gentlemen grow.  We last got to work together in summer 2016, but I have to admit I'm partial to this session from summer 2015. I adore their two boys, and it is always such a treat taking their pictures! I'm so happy Alison brought their violins with them so I can get some shots of the boys playing their beautiful instruments! :) 

For this session, we went to one of my all-time favorite locations, Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club.  The sprawling live oaks, river views, and Spanish architecture make it a photographer’s dream, and served as the perfect backdrop for Jason and Alison’s laid-back but sophisticated style.

Laura and Adam's Family Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

Love this time of the year because of the perfect Fall weather and lovely sunshine in the afternoon :) I have known Laura since college days at Jacksonville University, and I know she moved for awhile to Hawaii and even got married in Texas! I am so happy that I finally get to photograph her and hubby, Adam, along with their two adorable furbabies (plus their foster dog, Zoey!) :)

Laura and Adam had just added a new swimming pool in their backyard, and it is beautiful! So while Laura's parents are in town, it is perfect to have their family photo shoot right in their backyard :) I think their dogs were super excited with the photo-shoot because they liked running around during some of our shots :) I can't blame them because it was nice outside, and I would have probably jumped into the pool too ;)  Grateful for Laura and Adam for having me come over to their lovely home and photograph their fun family!

Michael and Jennifer's Family Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

It was a pleasure photographing Michael and Jennifer's beautiful family! Their children were so full of energy and smiles for the camera :) It was my first time meeting all of them at the session, and rain or shine, we all had a blast.  Jennifer had to reschedule our first session due to a stormy weather, and it got gloomy again on the actual day we had their session done. Funny that it was sunny all day long until when we were just about to start, and then the sun came out minutes after we got done.  Nevertheless, they were all such troopers for putting up with the drizzle.  Their dog, on the other hand, did not get to join us because the thunder made him nervous.  Overall, it was a wonderful time, and it was truly a pleasure taking this family's portraits at their home :)
