Jacksonville Beach Family Portrait Session

Carpe diem! Making the most of the present time and giving a little thought to what Tropical Storm Debby was about to unleash as it hit Northeast Florida. Christine and her family visited Jacksonville Beach from North Carolina the same week a tropical storm drenched the whole northern part of Florida.

Christine first connected with me about a month ago for a family session, and since they all live out of town, re-scheduling the photo-shoot was out of the question. So we seized the day and went ahead with our photo session as planned. It had been raining ALL DAY, so we started our session inside the beach home they were staying at during their vacation. Luckily, we had a minimal break from the rain, and we managed to have a good 15 minutes or so to go outside for pictures before another downpour had started. We all scrambled back to the house and took cover from the heavy rain!

Kudos to this family for braving the torrential downpour and the tropical-storm wind at the beach for their photos. I think it had made some dramatic feel to our pictures. I'm also elated that they decided to go ahead with the photo session even though Mother Nature was not on our side. As I mentioned, carpde diem! Seize the moment and go ahead with the photo-shoot ;)

Enjoy!
XOXO
