Thursday Therapy Jacksonville' Kick-off Event

Thursday Therapy? What's that? It's a networking event for professional wedding vendors here in Jacksonville, FL that wedding coordinator, Cassie with Flaire Weddings and Events, and I started. We both co-host this gathering once a month, and it will always be on a first Thursday of each month. Our first one took place at Roy's Restaurant in Jacksonville Beach, and we had a great turn out even though it was raining so hard that night. Both Cassie and I are very thankful for Roy's Restaurant for having us hold our kick-off meeting at their beautiful venue. They provided us with scrumptious appetizer for the night, and also gave us a generous gift certificate for Cassie and I to use as a door prize!

Gerri with Put It On Canvas at Jacksonville Beach also came and mingled with other wedding professional vendors. She also donated a photo-to-canvas print gift certificate for one of our door prizes, and Greg with Wedding Styles Online Magazine is the lucky winner! We are very grateful for Gerri's wonderful donation :)

Overall, the night went well! We did not expect for so many to show up due to the heavy rain storm and traffic on the way to Jacksonville Beach. Everyone seemed to enjoy mingling and networking with other vendors in town. We had wedding coordinators, photographers, videographers, florists, hair and makeup artists, wedding DJs, photo booth operators, online wedding magazine editors, and so many more join us at the Kick-off event! I think one vendor, who is also a Spring 2013 bride, booked her hair stylist at the event.

Cassie and I are very excited to start Thursday Therapy in Jacksonville! We are in the process right now of finalizing the venue for our next Thursday Therapy event, which is on July 5th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
