Karlyn & Alex are Married!! - San Jose Country Club - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

The weather was beautiful on Karlyn and Alex's wedding day just like this couple :) Bobby and I had SO much fun capturing their big day on photos as well as getting to know their families and friends! Karlyn is one of the sweetest person I've ever met, and I had a great time getting to know her prior to her wedding. She and Alex live in Atlanta, so we never got around to having an engagement session. I'm glad I got to meet up with her again and this time with Alex for coffee before their wedding. Right off the bat, I can just tell how much they love each other :) The way they hold each other's hands, and the way they look at each other is like watching a romantic movie. They sure can dance the night away also! I think the only time they left the dance floor was when I took more pictures of just the two of them outside before it got too dark.

Be sure to check out the slideshow below for more pictures!

Enjoy!
XOXO

THEIR LOVE STORY:

How did you guys meet?

Alex and I met in high school our senior, due to our mutual and very excitable friend Kristina.

Describe the proposal:

Alex had been telling me for a while that he was going to start taking me out to fancy dinners so that I would expect a proposal and then keep not asking. So when he told me that I we were going out to dinner with his parents and I should dress nicely I didn't really think anything of it. Apparently, his parents weren't home, and he had made me dinner with champagne and roses and candles everywhere. Then he let me wonder all through dinner if this was a proposal or not. Then after dessert, he got down on one knee and simply asked if I would marry him.

What is your favorite thing to do on your date night?

We love going to Chipotle to dinner and then going to a movie or concert for our dates.

What do you love about him so much?

I love that he is sweet and thoughtful with a goofy side. Alex some how knows what I need from him in a given moment and is there for me whenever and however I need him. He makes me feel like I am the only one.

What do you love about her so much?

I love that she gets me. She understands who I am and doesn't try to change me. She's beautiful, funny, and just a little weird.

What is your wedding invitation like and where did you go to get it done?

Our invitations were fairly simple, a pretty traditional layout with navy and gold borders. We got them from Reddiarts in Jacksonville.

What are your wedding colors and why did you guys choose that color palette?

We chose navy blue, gold/champagne, and ivory. The ivory and champagne/gold came from my dress, and blue is a color that both of us could decide on and since the wedding was in February, it made sense to keep the blue dark, thus the selections.

Describe your wedding cake:

We had a simple three-tier wedding cake that our florist then decorated with flowers, the icing was a basic white and it was decorated with dark blue flowers.

Describe your wedding flowers:

Our florist did a fantastic job using a variety of flowers, from hydrangeas, calla lilies, roses, Irish bells, and more. All her arrangements were amazing!

What is your First Dance song, Father/Daughter song, and Mother/Son song at your wedding reception?

Our first dance was "She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel at Alex's request.

The Father/Daughter dance was "Daddy's Little Girl" which is what my dad has always wanted to dance to at my wedding

The Mother/Son dance was "Moon River" because it is Alex's mom's favorite song

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We decided to go to Chattanooga, TN for our honeymoon. So much fun!

What are you looking forward to in the future together?

We're just looking forward to seeing where our path as a married couple takes us!

Love the rings on the cue balls. You could use the same concept on a save the date announcement. Good job!

Love,
