Kelly & Nate are Married!! - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

I wish there were 36 hours in a day instead of 24 hours because I've been SO anxious to blog this sweet couple's wedding!! You may remember Kelly and Nate from their fun engagement session in Savannah earlier this summer with their two adorable furbabies! I've been looking forward to their wedding, and I love everything about this special day--the location, the wedding guests, the flowers, the colors, and of course, the lovely bride and groom..that it was so hard to decide which pictures to put in the slideshow :) Finally, I just had to share the slideshow to Kelly and Nate before anyone else yesterday :)

If you do follow College Football, you know that Auburn won the SEC Championship game yesterday against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Nate went to Auburn, and Kelly had their wedding colors based on the university's colors! Loving the bridesmaid's dresses--very classic and fall-ish :)

Congratulations, Kelly and Nate!! Thank you for having us as your wedding photographers :) I'm very thankful that our mutual dear friend, Kim, introduced us to each other!!

XOXO

Kelly's Dad requested this picture as a joke--I love it, and it makes me think of the original "Father of the Bride" movie poster :)

THEIR LOVE STORY:

How did you guys meet?
We met through mutual friends after Nate relocated to Jacksonville for his job.

Describe the proposal:
We took a day trip up to Savannah, Georgia and walked around the city all day. Nate had been looking for a good spot to propose in all day and when we walked into Forsyth Park with the beautiful fountain, Nate knew it was the perfect spot. I was taking pictures of the fountain when a lady walked by and said she was going to open the flower garden in the park. After taking a few more pictures, I turned and asked Nate if he was ready to go look at the flower garden. That’s when he pulled out the ring and said, “Yes, but before we go over there, will you marry me?”

What is your favorite thing to do on your date night?
We like to go out to dinner.

What is your wedding invitation like and where did you go to get it done?
We LOVE our invitations!! They are orange with a navy blue satin bow around the front flap and it opens up like a book. We ordered them through a shop in Merritt Island, Florida called “I Need a Favor.” The ladies there are very helpful and we are so pleased with how they turned out :)

What are your wedding colors and why did you guys choose that color palette?
Our wedding colors are burnt orange and navy blue. We chose these colors mainly to represent Nate’s alma mater Auburn University. I thought the burnt orange was a great color for a fall wedding.

Describe your wedding cake:
Very classic and simplistic. It has 3 tiers that are square with navy blue ribbon around the bottom of each tier and orange circus roses cascading down the side. The cake is sour cream pound cake with a filling of chocolate mousse and fresh sliced strawberries covered with French buttercream frosting. Yummy!

Describe your wedding flowers:
We’re doing a mixture of fall colors—the main flower is orange circus roses. We’re also using ivory and rust colored roses, cinnamon mini cala lilies, magnolia leaves, and penne orchids.

What is your First Dance song and Father/Daughter song at your wedding reception?
Our first dance song is “Two is Better Than One” by Boys Like Girls with Taylor Swift and I danced with my dad to “Cinderella” by Stephen Curtis Chapman.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?
We went to the Sandals resort in Antigua.

What are you looking forward to in the future together?
We are looking forward to moving in together, starting a family, and just falling more in love with each other every day.

You did a great job with the pics at this wedding. You can tell by looking at them that everyone had such a great time!

Not sure if Kelly attended a bridal show before her wedding but they are a great way to learn about the latest wedding trends and meet with local wedding vendors. Also, Corinna, have you ever been a vendor at a bridal show?

The bridal shows by Rock the Aisle Bridal are so much fun! You must check them out at http://www.rocktheaislebridal.com.
