Kevin and Jennifer's Baby Birthday Cake Smash Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

It was my first time meeting Kevin and Jennifer along with their sweet little girl at my studio, and I had so much fun getting to know them as well as taking their daughter's photos :) Smashing birthday cake is probably my favorite session to photograph because it gets messy and fun!  Their little girl wasn't too crazy with smashing the cake at first, but she enjoyed it once she tasted the cake underneath the icing. I love her big bright eyes, and how she was very careful not to get messy at first. That of course changed towards the end, and she ended up having icing all over her tutu and feet! Loved every minute of taking her pictures :)

Bret and Cassidi's Twin Babies Birthday Cake Smash Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

I have been dreaming about this birthday cake smash photo-shoot since January!! My past bride and groom, Cassidi and Bret, have two adorable twin girls. I have been wanting to photograph them since they were born in Indiana! Little E and M are beyond adorable, and it was such a treat taking their 1-year birthday photos! They created such a big mess when smashing their birthday cake, and I loooove the icing splattered all over the floor and on their tutus! :) It was a perfect masterpiece!!

My heart is full, and I can't get enough of this beautiful family! Thanks to Cassidi's Dad, aka, Abuelo, for coming to the studio and help us entertain the twins during our photo-shoot! :) Happy Birthday to these little munchkins!!

Scott and Lisa's Baby Birthday Cake Smash Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

Scott and Lisa are blessed with such an adorable baby boy!! He is such a sweetheart, and I had so much fun taking his 1-year birthday cake-smash photos :) There was one time he got upset and maybe cried a little too, but it was because the session was done, and we took his cake away.

This baby is too cute for words and also a trooper for braving the cold windy weather outside. We started their family photo session outdoors, and we were going to have the cake-smashing part done at Treaty Oak Park. Since it was way too cold and windy, we decided to finish the rest of the session at the studio. It worked out perfectly for the balloons and this little shirtless superhero so he did not have to freeze outside ;) Even superheroes get cold, you know!

I am loving this cake-smash session theme! Most of the props were from Lisa's baby shower, and I am glad she brought them with her for the photos. I found the eyeglasses prop at my studio, and it was a perfect fit for their little guy. We used it for some of the photos, and he reminded me of Clark Kent! :) I love everything about this cake-smash session, and stay tuned for their family photos later this month!
