I Heart Faces - Week 21 - "Yellow" Photo Challenge

I haven't entered any weekly photo contests from I Heart Faces blog ever since my jumping photo made it in the Top 10 back in March for the "Jump for Joy!" photo challenge. There are about a thousand of photographers that enter the contest weekly, and a lot of them are good! I am pretty satisfied of making it to the Top 10 once, and I didn't plan on entering again until now :)

This week's challenge has to do with "Yellow," and if ya'll follow my blog enough, you would know that Yellow is my FAVORITE color in the world :) So therefore, I have to enter just this once again and especially since I have been doing a lot of sessions at the yellow flower field also :) A lot of other entries have to do with yellow flowers, and why not enter another photo with yellow flowers right? ;) I have tons of favorites, so I chose the picture with the most comments in Facebook to help me decide-hah! :)

I Heart Faces' Top 10! - Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

I'm several days late on posting this, but thought I should still share this in my blog :) You know those photo challenges from I Heart Faces blog that I enter every week? Well, after several weeks without winning, I finally made it to the Top 10 with my "Jump for Joy" shot!! Yay, the fabulous Southern photographer Kelly Moore Clark (also the inventor of the awesome camera bags for photographers) was the guest judge last week, and out of 479 entries, Kelly picked my picture for Seventh Place!! SO AWESOME :) Thanks to Peter, Travis, and Jason (and Bobby holding the off-camera flash) for making this a winning photo :)

I ♥ Faces “Jump For Joy!” Photo Challenge

This week's photo challenge over at I Heart Faces blog has to do with jumping up in the air for joy :) As many of you know, I love jumping shots! If you've done a session with me before, you know that I like to start at the crack of dawn, and I have you guys hop in the air for the pictures :) Because of that, I have A LOT of all-time favorite jumping shots! I think I can only enter one picture this week even though the instructions advised up to five shots.

This picture of Jason and Travis jumping up to do a high-five is the funniest jumping shot I've ever taken! Peter, the guy standing with his hand up, was clearly the tallest guy at Liz and Eamonn's wedding! I also love the happy energy that this picture exudes :)

Enjoy!!

I Heart Faces - Week 9 - "Hilarious Outtakes" Photo Challenge

I wasn't planning on submitting any pictures this week for I Heart Faces' "Hilarious Outtakes" Photo Challenge, but after looking at Kadri and John's session (and me thinking about Sweden), I figured that I'll submit this photo. It's a bit gross too that the dog is about to use the bathroom next to them, but I can't help but laugh at this picture :)

Since we can submit 5 pictures this week, here's another set of "hilarious outtake" I love from Olivia and David's session two weeks ago :) I loooove how David "saved" her from the wind!

I ♥ Faces “Hands-On Fun” Photo Challenge

If you've been following my blog, you know by now that I enjoy entering I Heart Faces' weekly photo challenges :) This week's focus is on the hands and the picture doesn't have to have people's faces on it. Immediately, I thought of this picture below from Patti and Jeremy's engagement session in Cocoa Beach. Thanks to Mother Nature for helping me out with this shot :)

I ♥ Faces - “I Wanna Dance" Photo Challenge!

This week's photo challenge has to do with busting a move! As always, SO hard to pick just one picture especially when we got to photo-shoot Angelique and Gerry's NYC wedding where half of the guests were pro salsa-dancers and were turning up the heat on the dance floor; and also when we got to photo-shoot Liz and Eamonn's Irish wedding celebration in Boston area where it felt like watching a Riverdance show :)

Since I can't decide between those two weddings, I'm choosing this one picture of a bridesmaid "busting a move" at Megan & Dan's Florida wedding! This was completely a spontaneous "worm" dance move (notice the looks on the guests), and I'm pretty stoked that I happened to be right there at that second to capture it all on photo! :) Even if I don't win the challenge, I think this bridesmaid won the "So You Think You Can Dance" award for the year!

XOXO

"You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen."
"Dancing Queen" by Abba

Now head over to I Heart Faces' Blog for more dancing pictures!

I ♥ Faces - “We Heart Kisses” Photo Challenge!

This Valentine week's challenge is celebrating kissing. So hard to pick my favorite "kiss" picture especially I have TONS of them with me being a wedding photographer...but if I can only pick one...this has to be it...why? It makes me think of a "Fabio-novel!" Hahaha!! ;-D

I Heart Faces: We Are Family

I tend to visit a lot of photo blogs during my downtime. It had been way too cold for the past 2 weeks in Florida, and that prevented me from shooting any outdoor sessions. Anyway, one of the blogs I discovered and now love to follow is I Heart Faces. They always have fun contests for photographers, and this week's photo challenge theme is "We are Family!" :)

Besides weddings, I'm passionate on taking family pictures! I just love, love, love doing those. I enjoy getting to know their children's personalities and just simply having fun during the session. I have a lot of favorites, and it was hard for me to just choose one picture to submit. After going back and forth on which picture to use, I decided to use one from Hana and Michael's "sweet" family session. I just love this picture of Hana and Michael peeking in from outside the ice cream parlor while their children are enjoying their ice cream. :) Also, so cute on how their little girl paused from licking her melting ice cream to look back at them. :)
