NACE Janauary 2015 Event - Jacksonville FL Event Photographer

The National Association for Catering and Events had a wonderful event back in January at one of my favorite venues in Jacksonville, Sweet Pete's Candy Store. I'm finally catching up with blogging this holiday weekend of all the past events I have photographed this year.  The first one I did is this NACE's meeting with special guest, Charlene Shirk, speaking about Branding 101. It was very insightful, and I am glad that Heather Canada of First Coast Weddings invited me as her guest, and I got to take some photos for her and NACE while I was there. Chef's Garden catered the event, and they did such a great job with the hors d'oeuvre! Liz Stewart Floral Design rocked the floral centerpieces as well!

Bowing Oaks Plantation - Jacksonville Florida Wedding Venue Photographer

Definitely check out the newest and hottest rustic wedding venue in town, Bowing Oaks Plantation! It is conveniently located in Bayard area of South Jacksonville (near the Avenues Mall and Nocatee Community).

I had the privilege of photographing the first styled-shoot there, and I cannot thank enough the venue sales manager, Heather Canada with First Coast Weddings and Events, and the Bowing Oaks Plantation owners for the opportunity! I had such a blast working with Heather and the model, Makayla Brie! Big thanks to Pam with Makeup by Pam for a marvelous job on Makayla's makeup, and to Katherine Oddy for being an awesome hairstylist! Another big thanks to Lynette at Rose of Sharon European Florist for the gorgeous and vibrant bouquet!  The stunning dress is by CB Couture from Bridals & More. 

I am grateful for my assistant, Nellie, for lugging around my heavy equipment to help me get my shot efficiently :) Lastly, we can't complete the bridal styled-shoot without an engagement ring on the model right? Luckily, Makayla and I have the same ring size! It was pretty strange to see my ring on her hand, but I am happy I got to take photos of it with the gorgeous flowers at this beautiful place! 

If you are looking for an elegant venue with rustic flair to it, Bowing Oaks Plantation is perfect! Heather told me that I can book the venue for family photo-shoots also, and I cannot wait to take my clients out there! :) 

Here are some of the photos from our styled-shoot, and I cannot wait to go back there next week for the Open House.  I am excited to see how their reception room looks like all decked out and decorated! :)
