Workout Songs

What gets me going on the elliptical machine is listening to awesome songs in my iPod. I get all pumped up listening to Dance/Techno remixes and even to Hillsong, Hilary Duff (don't smirk!), The Cure and U2. I looove Zumba and the African Salsa music--I just wish I can dance gracefully because I look pretty challenged when I'm trying to do the Merengue work out. ;-)

One song that really puts me into a trance is "Heaven" by DJ Sammy & Yanou. When it's time to cool down, I like listening to Coldplay, Sarah Brightman, Buddha Bar music and any classical music. Have you guys heard of Vitamin String Quartet? They are simply AMAZING!!

I have been listening to the same playlist since this Spring ;-) I think I need to update my playlist. Does anyone have any suggestions on great workout songs?? Thanks :)

xoxo

  1. My taste in music is extremely different from yours but one I like is "Is she insane" by Disturbed. I also like to warm up or cool down with some Kings of Leon. Milk is my all time favorite song ever.

  3. My current list:

The Ting Tings- Shut up and let me go
    Miley Cyrus- See You Again
Cansei De Ser- Music is my hot sex
    OAR- Hey Girl
Black Eyed Peas - My Hump
Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancing
Foo Fighters - All My Life
    Salt n Pepa - What A Man
Boys Like Girls - The Great Escape
Mindless Self Indulgence - Kill The Rock
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - They Don't Love you Like I Love you
    Going the Distance - Cake
Everybody Dance Now - CC & the Music Factory
    and
A couple of different Prodigy songs

Try some of those! :) It also helps me if there are no pauses between songs -- like if they overlap right into each other so it feels all like one continuous song. :)

  4. I'd have to go look at my workout playlist (which, um, I haven't listened to in a while, if you catch my drift) but one of my favorites is "Get Me Bodied" by Beyonce. It gets me so pumped! Also "My Humps" by BEP like Ali said. I actually think the beat is a good tempo for crunches!

  7. Yeah, "Fighter" by Christina is on mine, too. It's a good motivator. "Stronger" by Kanye is another great one.

I forgot I also have "Toma" by Pit Bull. It's a bit dirty, but I like the beats.

Funny, I started a similar thread on a brides forum. It's always good to share playlist info!
