Mandy & Kevin's Family Session - Ponte Vedra Beach FL Family Photographer

So happy that I got the chance to photograph my stepsister and her family while they were down here visiting Florida from New York last month :) My nieces are beautiful, and I had such a great time taking their pictures! We started our photo session at where they were staying, which is the nice resort Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra. Then we headed towards the beach for some pictures. The weather was nice and sunny, but about five minutes into our session, a stormy cloud rolled in and a strong gust of wind passed by us. It felt as if a dust storm was happening. The sand was prickling our legs and arms as the wind picked up its momentum across the beach. The strong gust of wind eventually passed by, and we did a few more shots in the water and left after that.

I've never seen anything like this mini dust storm happen in Florida. I'm glad that we started our session in Sawgrass Marriott with a nice weather. I'm also thankful that my stepsister had asked me to photograph her family :)

Join Me at Pursuit 31 Conference!

Pursuit 31 Conference, what's that? Before I tell you all about it, let me tell you that I am a firm believer of divine appointment and that God truly answers your prayers! Lately, I'm always on full-steam ahead and always working. I've been feeling a tug in my heart that there is something more than what I'm doing now with my photography business. One summer morning, I just surrendered myself to God and asked for His help to give me an "obvious" sign on how I can slow down, use my photography to glorify His name, and just take a real break to rejuvenate myself mentally, spiritually and physically.

On that very same morning, a Facebook friend of mine that I don't really talk to that much had sent me a private message telling me about Pursuit 31 Conference. I have heard of it from other photographers on Facebook talking about it, but I never really took the time to check it out. I finally did, and and I'm glad I went to check out Pursuit 31's website. Wow, I felt like God was speaking to me as I was watching the videos on the website and reading more about this conference. How "obvious" can He be, right?!

I emailed my husband at his work right away, and I told him what I had prayed about earlier, to check out the website, and that I will be content on whatever he thinks about it. The conference is out of our budget, but his email reply to me:

"God will tell you. Pray about it like you said. It might be just what you need. Did you see the part about no internet or TV?

I Love You ;)"

Well, one thing for sure is that he didn't say no to the idea of me going to the conference :) The rest is history after that reply, and I'm really counting my blessings! There are two days left to register for this conference, and if you're a lady photographer (either just starting out or seasoned like me), I would love to have you join me at the Pursuit 31 Conference this October! I'm so glad a friend of mine told me about this, and now I'm telling you all about it :)

Erica's Bridal Shower - Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

I love it when our brides are "detail-oriented!" Erica just had her Bridal Shower at the Deerwood Country Club Clubhouse, and I had a great time taking pictures of all the fun orange-and-pink details :) Cassie and Amber with Flaire Weddings and Events did a great job decorating the shower, and my favorite detail is the photo back-drop that Cassie made for Erica! I also love the dessert table and the mini-cupcakes :) Chevron prints are hot this year, and it was fun to see those designs for the table centerpiece underlay! I can't wait for Erica and Kyle's wedding in September, and I just know that Flaire Weddings and Events will deliver again on decorating their reception :)

Lori and Jason's Studio Light Test Shoot - Jacksonville FL Portrait Photographer

It is very good to have friends that do not mind being my "models" when I need to test out new studio lights! Thankful for my BFF, Lori, and her husband, Jason, for agreeing to put up with me in my office/studio in San Marco as I played around with my new studio lights with my other photographer friend, Norman :) I'm a Pinterest-addict, and I've been pinning some fashion photos that I have wanted to try out with my new lights. So glad that Lori and Jason didn't mind posing and modeling for me after I showed them my "pinned" inspiration pictures on Pinterest :)

Here are a few from our test-shoot, and I cannot wait to play with my new studio lights again! Special thanks again to my best friends, Lori and Jason, for modeling and for Norman helping me out :)

Kelly & Nate's Baby Birthday Session - Jacksonville FL Family Photographer

It's always a pleasure to photograph our past bride and groom, Kelly and Nate! It seems like it was just yesterday when I took pictures of this lovely couple's engagement session in Savannah :) Their wedding at Epping Forest was beautiful, and I'm so glad that I get to be their "life photographer!" I had a blast photographing their maternity session, and my favorite sessions of all--their baby girl's first year!! :)

Kelly and Nate's daughter is such a sweetheart, and it's always a pleasure to photograph her. I'm so glad that they got the Yearbook session with me, so I got the chance to capture her first year on photos. I recently shot Baby J's birthday session, and I can't believe she is already 1-year-old! I love her, and I hope to take more pictures of her in the future!
