Soucki & Rob's Laos Wedding Ceremony - Jacksonville, FL

Ever since I was in the 1st grade back in the Philippines, I have always wanted to be a National Geographic photographer. Traveling and learning about other cultures as I photograph always intrigued me. The aspiration of becoming a photojournalist for that magazine may never come true, but that also never stopped me from being passionate of what I do and embrace other cultures :)

Just two weeks ago, I had the honor to capture Soucki and Rob's Laos wedding ceremony. I showed up there not knowing what to expect, but I was definitely humbled and touched by how they celebrate marriage. I don't need my passport to learn about the Laos culture. Instead I got my own taste of culture-learning not too far away from my own backyard :)

Coldplay Did It Again!

I truly love the music band, Coldplay!! Their latest music video for the song, Strawberry Swing, is simply brilliant! I give them 5 out of 5 stars for creativity. Children Fun Session

My stay here in Asheville, NC has nothing been fun! The city is starting to grow on me, and I'll miss it a lot when I leave later back for Jacksonville. I've seen my first fireflies ever during the past couple of twilights! I'm so happy that I also got to photograph the Swan children while I'm here. Their children are so full of life and very beautiful :) They like to climb on trees, catch grasshoppers, toads and fireflies.

I tried to take pictures with the fireflies, but it's not that easy! At the end of this post is a picture that another photographer friend of mine shared with me. It's by Keith Carter, and I absolutely love this picture. Tried to re-capture the same moment, but our fireflies in the jar decided not to light up for us ;-) Nevertheless, it was a wonderful time :)
