Hannah Montana Pix

I finally took the time to upload the pictures I took from Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus' concert from my lil' Nikon point-n-shoot camera. The pictures look really grainy and dark, but I'm very happy that I have something to remember the fun night :) By the way, I tried to post some of the videos I took at the concert, but I kept getting error messages every time I tried to upload the video in my blog. Oh well..it might be considered copyright infringement anyway..so no Hannah Montana videos for you. If you're really dying to see what her concert was like, check out your local theater because the concert movie is currently being shown in theaters all over America ;-)

My friend Lori took some pictures from her camera too, and you can check them out at her MySpace photo album.

Here are some of the pictures that I took:

Interesting Weekend

Last weekend was a much needed break for me. For the first time this year, I didn't have to get up early for a photo shoot session, for a training class or for anything! Below are fun pictures from that weekend including some pictures from Valentines Day and from the Pet Expo. My "twin" Jessi joined us with her baby Jack at the Expo :)

Enjoy!

It's our tradition to eat at this special Indian Restaurant every year for Valentines Day. We've been going there since 2003!

My Valentine gift from Bobby!!

Playing (should I say, working out) Wii games at Peter and Rebekah's house on Friday night.

Raechaelle patiently waiting in the car on our way to the Pet Expo.

Raechaelle had a lot of fun to have a playmate at the Expo.

What a cute ohana! By the way, we adopted our kitty at the Pet Expo back in 2004 :) "Don't buy nor breed. Adopt and save a life!"

Lunch date with my dear friend, Scarlett, at our fave restaurant Biscotti's in Avondale :)

Investment Info

Hi guys!

Thank you so much for always checking out my blog :) I've been really blessed to have friends pass the info of my business through word of mouth. Thank you to everyone that has contacted me within the past 3 months and booked me for sessions and weddings! :)

Just a heads up that towards the end of this year's first quarter, I am increasing the fees for the wedding day coverage and for the separate photo sessions (such as the engagement, maternity, family and trashing the wedding dress sessions). If you know of a bride getting married soon or wanting to trash their own wedding dresses, please let me them know of this great investment deal before the price changes.

As always, you all rock and thanks for being a part of my life and vice versa. Have a blessed day!

Beautiful Boy, Beautiful Family

Dawn and Chris were high school sweethearts and now happily married with a cute baby boy who is turning 1 year old in a couple of weeks. Leading to their baby's first birthday, Dawn and Chris wanted some family shots of them to be shown at the 1 year birthday party that they are having soon.

It was a chilly but sunny beautiful morning during our session. I had a lot of fun capturing all the giggles and happy moments. Dawn and Chris took a break and did their own photo session while Grandma was watching and feeding the baby. Enjoy the pictures, and Happy 1st Birthday to a very beautiful boy!

Visiting Artist!

If you remember from my previous blog, my Photography professor from Jacksonville University had invited me to come in to her studio class as a visiting artist. I was really stoked to come in today and talk about my photography business to the class, as well as share some tips on how to start one (ie-website, blog, getting the right lens and photo-editing softwares). I also had the chance to share the Trash the Dress idea to everyone and passed around the pictures I took of Hana trashing her gown in the cornfield. I also shared with the class about another hot trend going on right now, which is Senior girls trashing their own prom dresses. Although my session with Scarlett back in December was more of like a Glamour session, it can very well pass as a prom dress trashing ;-)

Professor Ginger's studio class rocks!! Everyone was so nice, and I can tell that photography is their passion as well :) It feels good to be able to share my passion with everyone who appreciates it :) God is so good to have put people in my life to help and support me when I was just starting out, and the least I could do is do the same to others that are just starting out as well. Maybe I get to speak in a seminar/workshop one day ;-) For now, one step at a time. Speaking of workshops, there's one in October that I would like to attend. It's the Image X Workshop in New Orleans, but it is just a wishful thinking as of right now. I know for sure that one of my goals for 2009 is to attend fun seminars around the country, maybe Vegas or Miami--anywhere fun and educational!

Enjoy the pictures below!

Professor Ginger's Studio class:

The class and I goofing off:

Professor Ginger is so sweet to level with my height (I'm still very short even with high heels on!):

By the way, since I shared what's in my camera bag with the class, then I may as well post it in the blog:

- Canon 30D
- Canon 300D (for backup)
- Fisheye 15mm f/2.8 (one of my faves!)
- 100mm Macro f/2.8
- 70-200mm f/2.8 (love it, but very heavy!)
- 85mm f/1.8 (my favorite besides the fisheye)
- 50mm f1/8 (pretty good for the price of $80...the one w/ f/1.2 is around $1,200-1,500)
- 18-55mm f/3.5 (this came with the camera)
- Speedlite 580EX flash
- Speedlite 220EX flash
- SanDisk Extreme III and Lexar Professional memory cards
- Gary Fong's Light Sphere

I don't have much, but I'm good for now. I'm really just starting out in the business too, so next time the money rolls in, then maybe more lenses like the 50mm f/1.2, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 and 70-300mm f/4-5.6...and maybe the EOS-1Ds Mark III camera ;-)

Kellie & Randy are Happily in Love!

Once upon a time, there was a lovely fair maiden named Kellie who had a beautiful smile and a red hair like the sunrise. Her soul mate searching halted when the chilvarous knight, Randy, swept her off her feet and traveled around the globe together. Sounds like a fairy tale? But really, it's true! Kellie and Randy just knew that they were meant for each other at the first sight. Randy is always there to lend a helping hand and give support when Kellie needed one. They are very happy to be with each other and have traveled to many places around the world together since their first date. You can just see in their eyes that they are both romantic at heart and what other best places out there to have the engagement session done but at the "Happiest Place on Earth?"

I had a wonderful time capturing the love between Kellie and Randy at Disney's Magic Kingdom and Epcot last weekend. My dear husband was also there following us around and making sure to stop the people traffic for us to get some good shots and carrying my heavy camera equipment. Kellie and Randy--you guys rocked this photo session!! CONGRATS!

Just a little note, Kellie and Randy are getting married on 08.08.08, which is the Lucky Day in the Chinese Calendar--just like the 07.07.07 Lucky Day last year. I am in the Bridal Party so I would not be able to capture their special day, but we will see about that--I'll sneak in my camera and take some shots here and there time to time ;-)

Here are quite a few of my favorite shots!
