Technically, the bishops in Ireland declared for St. Patty's to be moved from the 17th to the 15th just for this year because no celebration should be done during the Holy Week, which starts today (Palm Sunday). So hopefully, ya'll took advantage of the holiday being on a Saturday!! No green beers for us this year, though we did eat an Irish pub to celebrate (if that counts). Bobby and I usually go to Savannah, GA for the day on St. Patty's day (or weekend), but we did an early start this year. Spontaneous kind of a guy he is, Bobby called me at work two Wednesday mornings ago and asked me to take a day off on Friday so we can head out to Savannah. He knows my weekends are busy with photo sessions, so he had planned a "weekend getaway" during the week. We left Thursday afternoon for Savannah and stayed at a motel that allows dogs--after all, it's a "family vacation." I recently bought a GPS, and we were excited to utilize it :) We found a Mexican restaurant close to the motel and seriously, that GPS is the coolest gadget next to my camera and computer!! It's a Magellan Maestro 3250--go buy one! ;-)
Savannah is a beautiful city, and below are the pictures from our mini-vacation. With our luck, the weather forecast on that day was 100% chance of rain!! To make it worse, it was very windy!! Oh well, at least our dog had fun playing in the puddle. :)
How fun!! Your "family" is too cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the picture of your husband & dog from the back. :-) I think because it's all rainy, etc. It's cute. :-) And I really do not think I will stray from the Canon...haha. I was just interested to test drive this camera for the camera shop & just for my own confirmations of my love for CANON. :-) I can tell the camera has a better quality than my Xti...but there are some things I like about my Canon even though it is a few levels down from the Olympus E3. Seriously...if I ever switched from Canon...you could disown me. :-)
ReplyDeletest. patricks day was here???? hahahaha, I missed it entirely! lol
